ever wonder how your wool gets to your yarn shop

well here is an interesting view of one of the myriad steps along the way. It is said that Australia's economy was built on the sheep's back. This photographic exhibition delves into the lives of modern day shearers - yes, shearers still exist. They might have electric shears (sometimes - I've heard that certain breeds of New Zealand sheep have such thick coats that they still have to be shorn by hand) but each and every sheep is hand-shorn...mind boggling.
